It's weird to realize influences you didn't know you had

I was rewatching The Graduate last night, and I realized that I think it's been a big influence on my writing since I first saw it years ago. Not in terms of the plots I write, but when it comes to how I write dialogue, how I structure my stories, and how I envision them. I don't think this is actually apparent in my writing, though.

Of course, it could be a chicken or the egg sort of thing. Maybe I like the movie because the style has always resonated with me.
