It's the end of the world as we know it

I had intended to post this last night, since I like to post reactions as soon as possible. Honestly, I don't usually rewatch episodes until a while after they air, so I try to get anything I have to say out while it's still fresh in my head.

But there was just so much that happened in the finale, I knew I was going to have to rewatch it before really talking about it much.

I'll really miss the show. I'll miss the characters. I still plan to write fic for a while, but there's something really sad about their stories being "done" (even though I think the finale left a ton of room for interesting exploration in fic). Today at work, I kept seeing a display of cornish hens (one of Neal's favorites), and couldn't help but think of him.

I got into the show in the space between seasons 3 and 4, so I only started recapping episodes with season 4. I'm thinking of rewatching the first three seasons and doing recaps of those episodes, like I would have if I'd been watching as they aired. I've thought about that before, and I think it could be fun. Yeah, the eps aren't new to many people, but there's still some nostalgia value in it.

I really enjoyed this episode! I'm glad we got a Mozzie-centric episode. The stuff with the Pink Panthers felt a little shoe-horned in, but I get the feeling that they had to keep that plot moving a bit since there are so few episodes. Might have felt weird if there was no mention of it at all, I suppose.

I enjoyed this week's episode, but to be honest, I don't think it made quite as much of an impression on me as last week's, so I might be forgetting more. Still found plenty to comment on, though.

I'm sad White Collar is over for the season. Especially since there's no definitive news about renewal or filming for season 6 yet (waiting would be so much easier if I knew how long it'd be).

As far as finales go, this one didn't crush or shock me as much as I thought it might. I was nervous because of course, White Collar always has to end on a cliffhanger. But while seasons 3 and 4 left me nervous and wondering how on Earth the characters were going to make things right, this finale just makes me excited to see what happens next. I can't say I'm really nervous, though maybe I should be (the end of season 2 wasn't that nerve-wracking, IMO, but it led into season 3, which was full of drama and angst).

I was so excited for tonight's ep. I thought that next week was the finale, but apparently there are two more episodes, not one. I've been a little confused on the schedule this season.

When I started watching tonight, one of my cats was very interested in watching the screen. White Collar is the last thing she needs to watch--don't need her to learn new ways of stealing and hiding stuff.

I was super excited for this episode, and it didn't disappoint! But now I can't wait until the three-week break is up.

Between knitting, wrangling two catnip-crazed cats, and watching the end of The Sound of Music Live!, I feel like I've probably forgotten some of this ep already.

Overall, I liked it. I don't think it's one of my favorites, but there was plenty to enjoy.

I haven't been feeling well, so this was a nice treat tonight. The main plot in this episode was all right. I loved the premise, but the execution wasn't extremely exciting to me. However, there were a lot other things going on that were a lot of fun.

Wow, I really didn't expect how this episode was going to turn out. I could tell there was a fair amount of misdirection in the preview last week, but I didn't actually know what to expect going into this week.

So, the premiere finally aired. Even though the season is late starting this year, it doesn't feel all that long ago that season 4 ended.

I think this was my favorite WC premiere. A lot happened, and it really furthered the plot. I'm really excited for this season.
