Right, so I'm prone to indecision and dissatisfaction regarding my hair.

For the past year or so, my philosophy when it comes to getting my hair cut has been "Chop it all off with the clippers! I don't care if I look like I've had a run-in with a murderous lawnmower--cut off all the hair!"

Yet, every time I get into a new fandom, I start wanting to do my hair like the characters and/or actors. It's sort of embarrassing. And Inception was a terrible influence on me. For months, the only thing keeping me from doing my hair like this (pick any of them) was the fact that I'm not that good with hair gel and I knew I'd look stupid.

But today I decided to swallow my pride and indulge myself, and brought a picture of Matt Bomer to the hair place as an example of what I'm trying for with my hair. This picture, if you want to be exact. In theory, it should have been a horrible idea since a) I look nothing like Matt Bomer and b) my hair is very thick and straight, so I can't really pull off the wavy look as well.

But it...turned out really well? It's still pretty short (a little shorter than his actually, since I haven't been growing out my hair for long), so it doesn't feel like my hair is taking over my head. And everyone has told me it looks much better than when I have the stylist hack off my hair with the clippers.

Who would have guessed I'd make a hair decision, and a fandom-inspired one at that, that isn't disastrous?
