I think a cat tried to adopt me....

It was raining heavily today, and when I went outside, I found a young cat resting on a bench in my yard (one of the few places with cover from the rain. Poor thing was soaked, and extremely tame and sweet. I didn't want to get too close to her or touch her, just in case she had any illnesses of fleas that I could pass on to my cats, but the poor thing really wanted attention. She kept trying to come over to me to rub up against my leg, and when I wouldn't let her, she flopped down on the ground and rolled around a little. Never saw a cat, even a young one, that was that trusting around strangers. She kept marking her scent everywhere, so I think she sees my yard as her territory now.

She stayed in the yard/on the bench for over an hour, and only ran off when I took the garbage out. I kind of hope she comes back.

I'm about 85% sure that she belongs to one of the neighbors. There aren't many stray cats in my neighborhood, so I assume she probably belongs to someone. If she was a stray, I don't know if I could resist attempting to catch and adopt her.

What's going on in terms of fic (mostly, but not entirely, mine):

I got my wcpairings done a couple weeks ago, which I'm happy about.

winterstar95 wrote my a wonderful fic for wcpairings: 2184. It's a fascinating (and sometimes creepy) dystopian future AU, and I was really excited to have it written for me.

I'm still doing the White Collar big bang (whitecollar_bb), and I have high hopes for the fic. But I need to focus on it more and take advantage of my free time wisely to make sure I stay on track.

I'm also doing i_reversebang again, and I'm feeling pretty good about my artwork.

I signed up for a Kink Bingo card, too. I was a little bit on the fence about it, mainly because I haven't been that happy with my output for it the past couple years. But when I learned the challenge is going on a break after this round, I didn't want to pass up the chance. Here's my card. I feel pretty good about it. It's not as good as last year's in that there isn't a particular line that I'd love to use as a bingo, but I really like the selection of kinks. There's a lot of stuff on here that I like, and I'm kind of exited that I got two humiliation squares. :P I have some ideas for how I could use a few squares for White Collar, but I might try to take this opportunity to write some Hannibal and maybe Orphan Black fic. Last year, part of the challenge with my card was that I was really only into White Collar and Inception, and there were some squares that I just didn't feel inspired to write for those fandoms. These days, I'm bit more multi-fannish, so maybe I'll have better luck?
