A perk of watching shows when they on TV

Watching White Collar every week, I feel like I've developed some low-level investment in other USA shows as a result of seeing the commercials and promos for them. It's like seeing the shows in short, out-of-context snippets. I've never seen Covert Affairs, and I don't have the time to start now, but I kinda like seeing the promos and getting an idea of what's happening to the characters.
