citrinesunsetSo, I'm watching Fringe. I'm a little "meh" about the Observers plot, but I don't hate it, either. I'm finding it interesting enough to keep up with the show and see how it ends.
But mainly, this season has just given me a lot of questions about the Observers.
- Why are all the Observers male? How do they reproduce? There's the child Observer, so it seems like they do reproduce in some way. Do they have sexual reproduction? Is there mpreg? Now I kinda want to write Observer mpreg fic....
- With what's happening to Peter, it seems like the tech in their necks is the only thing that makes them different from ordinary humans. Maybe they'll find a way to disable to the tech?
- Maybe the tech in their necks is the reason they're all male, too. Hormone manipulation or something?
- This plot is really reminding me of the Toclafane on Doctor Who. Except, the Toclafane needed the paradox machine (can't remember the actual name for it. It was a paradox something...) to make up for the fact that they were murdering their own ancestors. How are the Observers avoiding a paradox?
I don't actually expect answers for most of this stuff.
