Date: 2014-08-27 04:16 am (UTC)15. Maybe my Doctor Who fic "How River Song Got Her Pardon." I would have loved to see River and Liz Ten interact in canon and was sad that Liz Ten didn't show up more and that there wasn't a chance for that to happen. And I think the two of them running around and getting into trouble together would be cool in a visual medium.
27. Right now, I'm finishing up my White Collar big bang fic, and I'm starting work on my fic for the Inception reverse big bang, which I'm excited about. I have several small fics on the back burner.

Date: 2014-08-27 12:36 pm (UTC)Yeah, that's something I like about the show. I think that just about every law enforcement show plays a little (or a lot) fast and loose with evidence gathering, but at least they're not dangling people off of tall buildings or throwing them in shark tanks.

Date: 2014-08-27 04:34 am (UTC)When I was in the Torchwood fandom, I was absolutely crazy about fics dealing with the episode "Cyberwoman". Good grief, I read every single one I could find. I wrote a few, I think, and I could have written more. The actual episode was pretty nonsensical and ridiculous, especially in retrospect, but it was great fodder for angsty and dark fics.
19. I've never thought of my muse as an imaginary entity. But I definitely have times when I feel more inspired, have projects that my muse is more active on, and whatnot.
21. It depends on how much work I feel it needs, how long it is, and whether I have it betaed, but maybe an average of two or three times. I revise as I go along a lot. At the very least, once I have a finished draft, I'll go through it from beginning to end fixing any spelling errors and altering scenes as needed. And then I usually go over it a second or third time to double-check everything. If I feel more major changes are needed, or I re-post the fic (like I do sometimes with kink meme fills), then I'll do more.

Date: 2014-08-27 11:55 pm (UTC)37. I already answered this above, so if you'd like to pick another question, go ahead! I don't mind answering this one again a little differently, though. One WIP I don't think I mentioned in my other answer was an AU where instead of being sent to prison, Neal was sentenced to be marooned on a deserted island for four years. This was a prompt from
40.
The great thing about Mozzie was that when enlisted to steal a package from the Burkes' doorstep, he didn't ask any questions.
It wasn't a permanent fix, but Neal was hoping that by the time Peter realized the paddle wasn't coming, his anger would have dissipated and he wouldn't care about getting another one.
Instead, the following Saturday, Peter showed up at Neal's apartment.
"What can I do for you?" Neal asked innocently.
"Neal, remember the purchase we made?"
"Yeah...."
"It never arrived."
"I guess it got lost in transit."
"I guess it did."
Peter crossed his arms and fixed Neal with a steely stare. Neal refused to crack.
"You have one minute to go get the paddle or tell me what you did with it. I will give you your paddling and ten extra for trying to get out of it."
"Wait, you're really accusing me of stealing the package? I should be offended, Peter. What are you going to do if I don't have it? You can't punish me for something you can't prove I did."
"You're right," Peter said calmly. "I'm not going to punish you unless I know you're guilty. But if I find out you had something to do with the paddle not arriving, you'll get ten swats for every day it takes me to find out the truth."
Neal wasn't going to let that spook him. If Peter never found out, he couldn't follow through with the threat.
"I wonder if Mozzie knows anything about this..." Peter mused.
Neal's eyes widened. Mozzie's questionable ability to stay calm under pressure was the least of his concerns. He couldn't let Peter tell Mozzie what was in the package he stole.
With slumped shoulders, Neal said, "Fine. It's in the closet. I'll go get it."
Peter nodded. "I think that would be a good idea."

Date: 2014-08-29 02:55 am (UTC)That depends a little on the fandom. In general, I write a lot of D/s and relationships with some form of power play or imbalance. I like writing spanking, but it needs to be the right fandom/pairing.
Lately, I've been writing more gen and friendship-oriented fics, though I still consider myself more of a smut writer. But when it comes to my stuff that isn't smut/kink-based, I suppose I write a lot of stuff revolving around interpersonal conflicts, or situations where the main character gets in over their head and struggles to right things.
2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
Sexswap! I've had a few plotbunnies for "magically waking up as the opposite sex" fics, but haven't actually written any.
20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.
I prefer to write on the computer. I'll write with a pen and paper if I'm out of the house and don't have another option, but it's not my preferred method. Sometimes I like listening to music, though I have to be in the right mood for it, and it has to be the right music for what I'm working on, or it can be distracting.
33. How do you feel about crack?
Heh, I love it, and it's surprising I haven't written more, because I get a lot of cracky ideas. I think I censor myself a bit because my sense of humor can be a bit ridiculous and I'm self-conscious about actually writing some of the ideas I come up with. Also, when I do write my cracky ideas, they usually end up evolving a bit and become a mixture of crackiness and seriousness.
