If you're one of the many people that doesn't want the Facebook and Twitter cross-post options to show up on comment boxes on your journal, 51stcenturyfox has a post with some code you can add to your settings to hide them. It's not perfect, and not a guaranteed way to prevent cross-posting, but it works all right for me and there are some tips in the comments for in case your journal style doesn't allow the code.
