With the problems on LJ recently, I've been reminded of the fragility of the internet. And I thought it would be a good time to reiterate that I am on Dreamwidth and Tumblr as well as LJ, same username. So if anyone hasn't already friended/followed me on one of those sites and is interested in doing so, you're more than welcome to do so! I'm always happy to have more people to follow.

Being practical
Jan. 5th, 2013 07:58 pmI've run out of room for books, so I finally went through the shelves and rounded up just about everything I can bear to part with.
I hate giving up books, and I try to be careful because there have been times when I've regretted giving something away. But with enough time, I get a good sense of what I what I do and do not want to keep. The stuff I'm giving away hasn't even been touched in years. There are a few things I had to think about, such as my Harry Potter books, but I have so many other books I'd rather use that space for. I already filled up a lot of the space I cleared on my shelves, mostly with books from last semester that I wanted to keep.
There are a few books that I have more than one copy of, and I'm trying to decide if I want to give away some of the extra copies (and, if so, which copies to give away).
I'm still deciding where to donate the books. I might split them up.
The important thing is, now I have space for the books I need for this semester!
