Being practical
Jan. 5th, 2013 07:58 pmI've run out of room for books, so I finally went through the shelves and rounded up just about everything I can bear to part with.
I hate giving up books, and I try to be careful because there have been times when I've regretted giving something away. But with enough time, I get a good sense of what I what I do and do not want to keep. The stuff I'm giving away hasn't even been touched in years. There are a few things I had to think about, such as my Harry Potter books, but I have so many other books I'd rather use that space for. I already filled up a lot of the space I cleared on my shelves, mostly with books from last semester that I wanted to keep.
There are a few books that I have more than one copy of, and I'm trying to decide if I want to give away some of the extra copies (and, if so, which copies to give away).
I'm still deciding where to donate the books. I might split them up.
The important thing is, now I have space for the books I need for this semester!
