I've got this cat bed set up beside my computer chair. My cat doesn't usually like to lie there, but he'll go through phases where he likes it for a while.

A few days ago, he started wanting to curl up there, which makes me happy. Yeah, I know it's temporary, but at least for a while, he'll relax beside me while I'm on the computer instead of sneaking up behind my chair and meowing at me.

But now, when I get up to get a drink of water or something, I'll come back to find that he's stolen my chair. I feel like this is the next step in some devious plan of his. Sneaky cats.

My god-dog does the exact same thing. You get up to get food or drink, and he stretches out to cover your spot. And then when you tell him to move, he looks all innocent like, "what? I thought you left, I like it here." Often, I have to physically move him, and he'll make complaining noises at me :).

Heh, animals make it hard to be annoyed with them, even when they things that would be rude if we did them. :P

My cat makes a lot of complaining noises, too. He'll also steal my spot in my bed a lot. I'll get up, come back, and find him curled up against my pillow. He's adorable, though.
