If I wanted to create a blog, what site/platform would you guys recommend?

I've used Blogspot a little bit, but none of my ventures into that have lasted more than a day or so, so I don't really know how well it works in the long run. I will say I found it a little confusing to set up, but it seems pretty popular.

I've never used Wordpress before.

Anything else I'm missing?

I'm not sure I want to use DW or LJ, mainly because I'm lazy and don't want to have to switch between different accounts. But I do like that you can put text under a cut. Is this possible with other blogging websites?

And in case anyone is curious, this "blog" I'm thinking of setting up is just so I can amuse myself by writing movie reviews that probably only I will care about.

I have a WordPress account (which is popular with my flist, hence the account) and stopped using it because they log me out every three days and seem intent on advertising a lot of mainstream blogging content at me (like dieting tips) that I don't want to see. I wound up going back to rss-feeding them onto my LJ. I do believe you can use cuts there, but I'm not sure.

Hope this is useful to you? I mean, er, it's not helpful, maybe, but there you go. My experiences :).

I think I'm going to go with Wordpress. I was all set to go, but then I realized I had to come up with a name for the blog. And I suck at names. :P

But yeah, I think I'm going to go with Wordpress.
