Movie/Music recs?

I got an iTunes gift card as an early birthday present, and am thinking of renting/buying some movies. But I've already seen a lot of the movies that were at the top of my list to see recently, so I'm trying to think of things that could be good but that I may not have otherwise gone too far out of my way to see. Any recommendations? Seen anything good lately?

I like all sorts of stuff, but a few of the things I'm thinking about:

Blue Valentine
The Wrestler
True Grit (2010)
Sunshine
2001: A Space Odyssey

And any music recs? I have some stuff I want to get, but I'm always open to new ideas. And again, I'll listen to almost anything.
