Yesterday, I went to one of my usual bus stop, which happens to be under some trees. The first thing I noticed was that some caterpillars were hanging from the trees from silk threads, so I tried to find a safe spot place to stand. Only to walk into more caterpillars. Honestly, it almost seemed like they'd set. They were right by the bus stop sign, and created a sort of spiderweb type of thing.
By the time the bus came, I had them all over my arms and legs. Even the bus driver said, "Oh no! Right in the line of fire!" when he saw me. And one of the dudes at the bus stop, who'd been looking at his phone and hadn't noticed the caterpillars, said, "Oh, shit!" when he noticed he'd have to walk around the trap to get on the bus. Then, when I finally settled into my bus seat, I looked to my left and saw a big caterpillar crawling up the wall.
I feel like I survived an attempted alien abduction. It's a good thing I do like caterpillars for the most part -- it was the only thing that kept me from getting too wigged out by having them on me. I was mostly just annoyed.
