How to tell you think like a fandom person, #3978

As a consequence of the extra free time I've had this summer, I've gotten into the habit of watching Perry Mason with my mom. I never saw it before, but I peeked at the TV enough when she had it on that she finally just invited me to watch it with her.

And now Perry/Della/Paul is my OT3. They're like a perfect crime-fighting triad. Seriously, how can there not be fic for them on AO3? I want fic. Hell, I think I may be tempted to write some.

Also, I've realized that while I generally really like how modern shows tend to develop characters' personal lives more, it is sort of nice how some older procedurals leave a lot to the imagination. In a way, it makes it easier to imagine stuff like this.

Sadly, I don't think my mom would share my enthusiasm.

I love Perry Mason! There used to be at least a small handful of Yuletide requests for fic, but they've disappeared lately as the show seems to be shown less in reruns. I still hold out hope for the occasional Perry/Paul or Perry/Paul/Della story.
