Doctor Who: 5.12
Jun. 20th, 2010 07:22 pmOne thing I really like about this season is that it does keep me thinking and wondering, and trying to keep up. It's a little confusing at times, but I like it. About half-way through this episode, I was convinced that Amy could control reality, which would have been interesting. I'm not really clear on why the Doctor's enemies decided to use Amy's memories to create a trap, though.
I totally got what was going on with the Pandorica, though, and I think it's awesome. I love the idea of it, and it's kind of cool to see the Doctor's enemies gang up on him because they perceive him to be a threat to the universe.
But who's controlling the Tardis? The voice kind of sounds like the dream dude from "Amy's Choice," but I'm not sure.
I was thinking, if Rory is really dead, it'd be kind of interesting to see Amy end up with Robo-Rory. It'd be interesting, with the whole thing with the scientist in "Victory of the Daleks," and the whole idea about robots having human emotions and being, well, human. But then I realized that Real-Rory would still be well, dead, and that's sad. But I suspect that if the Tardis explosion is averted, then the cracks in time will disappear, and things will revert to normal. But then, Rory wasn't actually killed by the time crack, just erased. So I don't know where this is going...
I don't want River and Amy to be dead! I don't really think they are, though. If they are, I think I'll be pissed.
I loved the Cyberman. Though it did make me wonder. The whole skull inside the head suggested that the entire body had been upgraded, Lisa-style. Unless these Cybermen cut off people's heads instead of removing the brain. Maybe I just think too much about this stuff.
I was a little wary of Daleks being involved, because three of the four previous finales in New Who have used Daleks as the/one of the big bads, and some variety is nice, you know? But I can work with this.
I'm looking forward to the finale.
I still want to know who River killed.
