I got so cold and wet today waiting in the rain for the bus to come. Even the combined forces of my hooded coat and umbrella couldn't save me. I should have worn my truly water-proof raincoat, but oh well.

Worse, even though I tried to make sure my backpack was zipped up and my umbrella covered it, some water still got inside and got one of my books pretty wet. I'm hoping it'll try out okay. I might try to put the fan on it.

If it's really sodden, put some paper towel in between the pages, and replace it every so often. Also, fan the pages out now and again so that they don't stick together while drying. You have to be more vigilant about this if it's a shiny, coloured print/photograph book than with regular old paper. Shiny books can weld to each other like cement, and sometimes the only way to separate the pages once they've dried that way is to re-wet them.
