I guess mindreading would be a copout? Maybe they could induce hallucinations? Or create doors that take them wherever they'd like to go? Maybe Dom's tears have healing properties.

I've had this vague idea for a while now of writing an AU where they're superheros a la the Justice League or the X-Men. I've gotten so far as to start thinking about ways to roughly adapt Inception into a superhero story, and start figuring out what powers they'd have. But all I have is that Eames would be a shapeshifter and Arthur would have fast reflexes and flying abilities.

Yeah, maybe some sort of teleportation could work, especially for Dom. Mindreading isn't bad, either.

Mm superheroes. Ariadne might be able to bend the laws of physics? Levitation, warping density, etc. Theoretically if you take a bunch of molecules and make them more or less dense you can alter the shape of a thing, if I remember my high school science correctly, so she could do things like shrink or expand buildings, or make holes in walls.

If not mind reading, mind control is a pretty inceptiony power too.

I think that's a good idea for Ariadne. I was thinking of something sort of like that, but your description makes more sense! Controlling matter in some way, maybe with telekinesis thrown in, would be good for her.
