citrinesunset: (Drugged Neal)

I enjoyed this episode a lot. I'd been looking forward to seeing it because I remember some references to it back before season four started airing. So yay, finally!

- Maybe this is nitpicky of me, but the plot with the taxi medallions and the Cotton Club/jazz plot felt like a strange mix to me. I was expecting the plot to actually have more to do with jazz. That said, I'm not really complaining.

- I love Mozzie working as a cab driver. It's perfect for him. And I love getting glimpses of the stuff he does when he's not hanging out with Neal.

- When Neal is in Ellen's apartment, is that the apartment on Roosevelt Island? Or another one? Because Roosevelt Island is outside of his radius....

- In fact, how is Neal managing to stay within his radius while trying to find the location that matches the key?

- I'm still not too crazy about the key. I mean, in itself it's kind of cool. But it reminds me so much of the music box, and the music box already strained my suspension of disbelief a bit.

- I loved Mozzie's outrage over the taxi scam. Love how indignant he is because he actually paid for his taxi.

- I hope they resolve the issue of Elizabeth telling Neal to lie soon. I don't want it to drag out for too long.

- I love June's involvement in this episode! I was looking forward to hearing her sing. And June was born for the stage. The world needs more June, in general.

- I LOLed at Mozzie trying to get a fistbump from Peter.

- Diana's wig kind of reminds me of June's hair. I liked her as a cigar girl, though. I can always do with more undercover!Diana. Her undercover work is always badass.

- I liked Delmon, and I felt a little bad for him and even Angelo. I think Delmon really cared about his brother.

- Jones got his cigar though! I'm glad he got one by the end of the episode.

- Could Peter be more invested in Neal? He has a secret Neal box in his house!

- I like the backstory of Neal going down by the water, drinking wine, and savoring his freedom. Also, it's an interesting implication that he knew the FBI was closing in on him.

- Waiting two weeks for the next episode sucks....

And now some spoilers regarding next week's episode (and maybe coming episodes in general):

- I'm excited to see it. Peter and Elizabeth have both been kidnapped, and have both been total badasses. The two of them getting kidnapped together is the next logical step, I guess. :P I hope there's another awesome escape.

- It looks like this is going to be the episode with Neal and Sara at the Empire State Building too, maybe? If so, I'm excited for that. Though I swore I read that Neal and Sara were going to be kidnapped in that episode. So...is that misinformation? A different episode?

Sorry I haven't responded this season half season yet.

First off I'm just so happy I'm enjoying this half of the season. I don't know why but while the last half wasn't bad I just kept waiting to get over the dread of how the season before ended.

- First off they've been very vague about what's happening with Neal legally this season. Has he once again had 4 years added to his sentence. When he turned himself in was he able to negotiate a better work-release deal? A bigger radius maybe. Plus working with the FBI means irregular work hours it might have ended up being more trouble then it was worth, when Peter just likes to watch where he's going anyway. lol

- I wasn't sure how the plot went together either. It's seemed like they needed waste more time instead of flagging the TLC agent who filed the paperwork for the medallions and realize the place he was laundering the money was through the club he ran with his brother. Probably just seemed to easy to get too.

- Ah Mozzie your great this season.

- I think Neal knew the FBI was close because his aliases were being burned. I'm trying to remember in Forging Bonds, but I think a lot of it was the FBI saying they were close even though they didn't have a clue. I think Peter used that tactic before, mentioned sometime last season. They only got to him by leaking were Kate was and setting a trap.

- I really hope Elizabeth fesses up (or Peter figures it out, I thought he was pretty close this week) that she asked Neal to lie to him. She's not being stealthy. Peter seems to be enjoying being a step ahead of Neal this time though.

- I love Diana and undercover Diana, but I'm glad Jones is actually getting more of a role this year. Usually he isn't the one get to hang out at the Burke house.

TWO WEEKS! REALLY! I was so mad when I saw that. They are the best kidnap 'victims' ever I can't wait to see that. I still with Elizabeth is the best TV Wife ever.

Yeah, the key thing feels contrived to me. But yeah, I loved Mozzie!

Having to wait two weeks sucks. I hope the next episode is really good to make up for the wait.
