It seems like Neal has been wearing brown shoes with dark navy suits lately. At least since the end of season three.

Is this the style now? Am I really outdated for being under the impression that you're only supposed to wear brown shoes with brown or light-colored suits? (As much as you're "supposed" to do anything fashion-related, that is.)

Not that Neal can't pull it off. And I'm sure the White Collar wardrobe department knows more about style than I do. I think if I wore brown shoes with a navy suit, it wouldn't have the same effect....

I think brown + dark has been getting more popular. I've seen some brown/black combos that were striking, but my sense of fashion is terrible so take that how you will. It's probably still pretty fashion forward though.

Yeah, I think you're probably right about it being increasingly popular but still not mainstream.
