This episode felt a little...off to me, which was disappointing because I was hoping for epic awesomeness. That said, I did get enjoyment out of it, and I didn't dislike it.

- Okay, I like Neal/Sara, even though I'm not sure I buy them as an endgame pairing. But dude, this "amis-amants" thing came out of nowhere. When did they get back together? Even casually? Actually, especially since I like Neal/Sara, I kinda feel cheated. Would have liked to see them work things out more.

- Not that I don't like them as friends-with-benefits, though. I'm all in favor of that development, even though it looks like they're setting it up for them to struggle with stronger feelings. I've always felt like Neal and Sara worked best together when they didn't try to commit too seriously.

- Just like with 2x13 and the jazz, I found myself feeling here like the perfume was an under-utilized plot to a degree. It might have been interesting if the episode had focused on concept of valuable perfume more. The past couple episodes haven't had a lot of focus in my opinion, and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing on a technical level, but it does feel like a departure from the show's usual format. And to be honest, I like it better when the episodes are more closely fitted to a central concept and the plot threads are tied together more closely. But maybe I'm being overly nitpicky here.

- Peter and Elizabeth are really cute together! I feel sorry for Peter, having his great surprise interrupted. Have they been able to have a nice, stress-free vacation since the pilot episode?

- And I love Peter claiming to have the upper-body strength of a Norse god. I love callbacks like that to his love of Vikings.

- I'm glad we have a reason for Ellen's box being hidden in the Empire State Building.

- Love how Neal knows the Burkes' alarm code.

- Love the reappearance of Sara's baton.

- I love how Mozzie tags along when Neal goes to get Satchmo, and Neal having to tell him not to snoop.

- Oz and Penny are the most incompetent kidnappers ever. I mean, on one level, it's cute how Oz gets won over by Elizabeth's cooking, and Penny tries on her dress. But dude, they didn't even think to look through Peter and Elizabeth's pockets and bags?

- Also, it's really weird how Oz keeps calling her "Lizzy."

- I think Peter has gotten better at lying on the spot than he was in "Home Invasion."

- The Mugshot Monthly thing is funny. I can definitely imagine Neal having admirers.

- The reaction to Peter and Elizabeth's kidnapping feels understated, especially considering how much panic and emotion there was when they got kidnapped in the past.

- But I do love how calm Elizabeth, especially, is about being kidnapped. And I love Penny's reaction when she tells her that this isn't her first kidnapping.

- I thought it was kind of weird how Neal and Sara just leave after Peter goes to save Elizabeth. I mean, going out to talk to the FBI was probably the smart thing, but Sara could've done that. I would've expected Neal to insist on staying inside and helping Peter.

- I'm glad Oz is going to get a fair trial, but man, he's really made things harder for him. Can't imagine he'll be getting out of prison for a while.

- I'm glad Elizabeth came clean to Peter about the lie. But I got the impression that they don't intend to tell Neal that she came clean. Which makes me sad and makes me a little concerned about more conflict. Though since Neal doesn't want to endanger Peter, either, Peter may correctly suspect that Neal will continue investigating behind his back regardless.

And a couple notes on the promo:

- Oh no, James is back. And acting suspicious, it seems. I thought he was over not wanting Peter involved.

- I'm sad there are only two weeks left. I don't want the season to end.
